The Just-In-Time Emergency Incident System (JITEIS) is an ARRA Success

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences applauds Dr. Cesar Bandera’s use of a Recovery Act grant in the ARRA Success Story Training and Health Information Sent via Cell Phone. Dr. Bandera, co-founder of Cell Podium and founder of BanDeMar Networks, originally developed JITTEIS under the umbrella of BanDeMar Network in response to a critical need for mobile emergency responder training by the US Department of Health and Human Services. The technology was conceived to provide emergency responders with information in situations where there is no time or ability to search for information on the web. However, the need to get necessary information urgently to the people who need it has proven to be a growing concern in all industries. Cell Podium was established in 2008 to expand the JITTEIS concept of pushing information to cell phones regardless of carrier, data plan, or internet capabilities to multiple industries. Since then, Cell Podium has been fine tuning JITTEIS to further aid workers, patients, and the public-at-large. NIEHS has taken note of these improvements and the projects generated through them.
